Halima Atieno Wekesa

Coached gymnastics for 24 years in Kinondoni

  • 🇹🇿 Kinondoni, Dar es Salaam, Tanzania
  • Kinondoni Boxing Gym
  • Since 2002
  • English, Swahili
For 24 years I've run the gymnastics program at Kinondoni Boxing Gym in Kinondoni. We trained 4 evenings a week, whatever the weather. My best seasons were the ones we lost most games and still showed up every Tuesday. I'm proud of everyone I got to work with.

More about Halima

I still keep the team photo from our best season on the wall.

What gifts mean to Halima: I'll put any gifts toward a small fund so no child misses a match because of money.
