Halima Apio Kimani

Youth chess coach and mentor

  • 🇹🇿 Mwanza, Mwanza, Tanzania
  • Mwanza Kingsway Youth Club
  • Since 2014
  • English
I've coached chess at Mwanza Kingsway Youth Club since 2014. Most of my players were between 10 and 17, and a lot of them turned into friends for life. Practice always ended with the same rule: nobody walks home alone. I fix old bicycles. It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.

More about Halima

I still keep the team photo from our best season on the wall.
