Hala Sawsan Qureshi
Master of blacksmithing, now teaching apprentices
- 🇪🇬 Alexandria, Alexandria, Egypt
- Little Alexandria Workshop
- 1981 to 1993
- English, Arabic
My trade is blacksmithing. I opened my own shop in 1981 in Alexandria and I'm still there most mornings.
Apprentices come in nervous and leave proud. That's my favorite part. I try to remember everyone's name.
Crafts and trades
What gifts mean to Hala: I'd put gifts toward a new set of tools for the next apprentice.
