Haile Nigussie

Chemistry and early years teacher, Addis Ababa

  • 🇪🇹 Addis Ababa, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia
  • Meadowbank Middle School
  • Since 1978
  • English, Amharic
For 48 years I have been the chemistry teacher at Meadowbank Middle School. I teach Grade 8 and a few brave older students who wanted extra help. I've coached the school's basketball team for a few seasons. We lost more than we won, and I'd do it all again.

What gifts mean to Haile: A gift would go toward books and supplies for the students I still tutor.

You taught me chemistry in 1980 at Meadowbank Middle School. I still remember the last day before the summer holidays.
