I taught geography at Westbrook High School in Gwangju from 2012 to 2020. Most days I taught Year 7, and I learned every name in the first week.
I coached the school's athletics team for a few seasons. We lost more than we won, and I'd do it all again.
More about Ha-joon
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.
