I've volunteered with Unity Neighborhood Trust from 2009 to 2021. I started on a Saturday morning "just to help out" and never left.
I carry a notebook everywhere. Small habits keep a team together.
What gifts mean to Gustavo: I'd put a gift toward transport for our volunteers.
