I taught environmental science at Bayview Secondary School in Üsküdar from 1985 to 1995. Most days I taught teenagers, and I answered every email, even at midnight.
Over the years I had 330 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
More about Gül
Some of my favorite memories are from the school trip to the capital, where nothing went to plan and everything turned out fine.

What gifts mean to Gül: A gift would go toward books and supplies for the students I still tutor.
