Coached basketball for 47 years in Soweto
- 🇿🇦 Soweto, Gauteng, South Africa
- Soweto Swimming Club
- Since 1979

I've coached basketball at Soweto Swimming Club since 1979. Most of my players were between 9 and 15, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Practice always ended with the same rule: nobody walks home alone. I walk the dog by the river.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
More about Gugu
I still keep the team photo from our best season on the wall.
