Gugu B. Kruger
Midwife and nurse, Soweto
- 🇿🇦 Soweto, Gauteng, South Africa
- Soweto Children's Hospital
- 2013 to 2023
- English, Afrikaans
I've been a nurse for ten years, most of them in emergency care at Soweto Children's Hospital in Soweto. Night shifts taught me patience, and patients taught me everything else.
The thing I'm proudest of is that families usually remember my name. I make terrible puns.

You looked after my mother at Soweto Children's Hospital in 2015. We never forgot your kindness. Truly.
