For 24 years I was the history teacher at Lincoln Academy. I taught the final-year class and a few brave older students who wanted extra help. I coached the school's cross-country squad for a few seasons. We lost more than we won, and I'd do it all again. It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
