Grace Eunice Juma
Master of pottery, now teaching apprentices
- 🇰🇪 Kasarani, Nairobi, Kenya
- The Kasarani Trades Guild
- Since 1987
- English
I've worked in pottery since 1987. I learned from my grandfather and passed what I could on to 1,830 apprentices.
Apprentices come in nervous and leave proud. That's my favorite part. I always make time for a proper cup of tea.
More about Grace
Some of my old apprentices now run their own shops. I couldn't be prouder.
What gifts mean to Grace: I'd put gifts toward a new set of tools for the next apprentice.
