I've been a nurse for 20 years, most of them in mental health at Newcastle upon Tyne Health Center in Newcastle upon Tyne. Night shifts taught me patience, and patients taught me everything else.
The thing I'm proudest of is that families usually remember my name. I bake for the whole street at New Year.
