I've been a nurse for 47 years, most of them in oncology at Birmingham Children's Hospital in Birmingham. Night shifts taught me patience, and patients taught me everything else.
The thing I'm proudest of is that families usually remember my name. I paint watercolors of whatever is outside the window.
