I've been a nurse for 38 years, most of them in orthopedics at Highland University Hospital in Lalitpur. Night shifts taught me patience, and patients taught me everything else.
I'm usually the first one in and the last to leave. Small things matter when someone is frightened.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
