I've played oud from 1985 to 2000, mostly in pubs, churches, weddings and anywhere else that would have me. These days I also teach.
I teach about 18 students a week. Some of them are better than me now, which is the whole point. I run most mornings.
Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.
More about Gopal
I wrote my first song when I was 18. It was terrible and I still love it.
What gifts mean to Gopal: A gift would go toward new strings, repairs and music for my students.
