I've been a nurse for 13 years, most of them in mental health at Greenfield University Hospital in Ciudad de México. Night shifts taught me patience, and patients taught me everything else.
The thing I'm proudest of is that families usually remember my name. I sing in a choir.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
