I've been a nurse for 47 years, most of them in mental health at Oaxaca de Juárez General Hospital in Oaxaca de Juárez. Night shifts taught me patience, and patients taught me everything else.
The thing I'm proudest of is that families usually remember my name. I walk the dog by the river.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
