Gökhan Okan Özer
Youth wrestling coach and mentor
- 🇹🇷 Istanbul, Istanbul, Türkiye
- Istanbul Sports Club
- Since 1978
- English, Turkish
For 48 years I've run the wrestling program at Istanbul Sports Club in Istanbul. We trained 3 evenings a week, whatever the weather.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I play music while people worked.
Thank you for stopping by.
More about Gökhan
Some of my former players now coach their own teams, which is the best thank-you I could ask for.
What gifts mean to Gökhan: I'll put any gifts toward a small fund so no child misses a match because of money.
