Gizem Kübra Yıldız
Master of thatching, now teaching apprentices
- 🇹🇷 Bornova, İzmir, Türkiye
- Valley View Works
- Since 2000
- English, Turkish
I've worked in thatching since 2000. I learned from my mother and passed what I could on to 1,140 apprentices.
The best compliment I ever got was a customer who called me back 24 years later for another job.
What gifts mean to Gizem: A gift would go toward tools for apprentices who can't afford their own.
