Githinji Mwende Kyagulanyi
Helping people break into design
- 🇺🇬 Kampala, Central Region, Uganda
- Stonebridge Association
- 1980 to 2002
- English
For 22 years I've mentored people in design and law school. Mostly it's coffee, honest feedback and a lot of listening.
I kept a jar of spare pencils on my desk.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
More about Githinji
Some of my mentees now mentor others. That's how it's meant to work.
Areas of mentoring
What gifts mean to Githinji: I'd put gifts toward travel for in-person sessions with students.
