I'm a cross country coach. I never went pro, but I get to see 2,200 kids fall in love with the game.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I keep a jar of spare pencils on my desk.
Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.
More about Giovanni
Some of my former players now coach their own teams, which is the best thank-you I could ask for.
