Giovana Francisca Medeiros
Youth chess coach and mentor
- 🇧🇷 Brasília, Distrito Federal, Brazil
- Brasília Boxing Gym
- Since 1997
- Portuguese
For 29 years I've run the chess program at Brasília Boxing Gym in Brasília. We trained 5 evenings a week, whatever the weather.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I learn every name in the first week.
More about Giovana
Some of my former players now coach their own teams, which is the best thank-you I could ask for.

What gifts mean to Giovana: A gift would go toward kit and bus fares for kids who can't afford them.
