I've been a nurse for 22 years, most of them in emergency care at Rosewood Children's Hospital in Quezon City. Night shifts taught me patience, and patients taught me everything else.
I've held a lot of hands. I wouldn't change a thing.
More about Gilbert
I still get cards from families years later. They're pinned to my fridge.
Areas of care
What gifts mean to Gilbert: I'd put gifts toward a training course in palliative care.
