I've volunteered with Los Angeles Community Kitchen from 1980 to 1990. I started on a Saturday morning "just to help out" and never left.
Our crew is about 15 people now. Everyone brings something.
I'm proud of everyone I got to work with.
More about Gilbert
If you've ever been helped by one of our sessions, you're the reason we keep going.
What gifts mean to Gilbert: I'd put a gift toward transport for our volunteers.
