Gianna F. Elliott
Chess coach, Oakland Sports Club
- 🇺🇸 Oakland, California, United States
- Oakland Sports Club
- 2009 to 2024
- English, Spanish
For 15 years I ran the chess program at Oakland Sports Club in Oakland. We trained 4 evenings a week, whatever the weather.
My best seasons were the ones we lost most games and still showed up every Tuesday.
More about Gianna
Some of my former players now coach their own teams, which is the best thank-you I could ask for.
What gifts mean to Gianna: I'll put any gifts toward a small fund so no child misses a match because of money.
