Gianna F. Avila

Home economics teacher at Redwood Girls' School, Since 1994

I teach home economics at Redwood Girls' School in Wollongong since 1994. Most days I teach teenagers, and my door is open at lunch. Over the years I've had 1,470 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile. I'm proud of everyone I got to work with.

More about Gianna

Some of my favorite memories are from the school trip to the farm, where nothing went to plan and everything turned out fine.
