Ghada Rahma Cherif
Master of tiling, now teaching apprentices
- 🇪🇬 Heliopolis, Cairo, Egypt
- Mount Pleasant Repairs
- Since 1985
- English, Arabic
I've worked in tiling since 1985. I learned from my grandmother and passed what I could on to 2,460 apprentices.
I can still tell good work from rushed work from across the street. I'm learning the guitar.
Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.

If I fixed something for you, I hope it's still holding.

What gifts mean to Ghada: I'd put gifts toward a new set of tools for the next apprentice.
