Gerrit Lars Bosman
Master of painting and decorating, now teaching apprentices
- 🇳🇱 Amsterdam, North Holland, Netherlands
- Little Amsterdam Trades Guild
- Since 1979
- Dutch
I've worked in painting and decorating since 1979. I learned from my aunt and passed what I could on to 2,440 apprentices.
Apprentices come in nervous and leave proud. That's my favorite part. I never rush a conversation.

If I fixed something for you, I hope it's still holding.
Crafts and trades
What gifts mean to Gerrit: I'd put gifts toward a new set of tools for the next apprentice.
