I teach history at Sandton Middle School in Sandton since 1982. Most days I teach Year 7, and I write a short note to every student at the end of term.
Over the years I've had 1,450 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
More about Gerhard
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.
