I taught physics at Kilkenny Middle School in Kilkenny from 1988 to 2025. Most days I taught Year 9, and I always had a bag of oranges in my drawer.
Over the years I had 2,040 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
