Gerald T. Castillo
Master of shoemaking, now teaching apprentices
- 🇵🇭 Caloocan, Metro Manila, Philippines
- Old Caloocan Repairs
- Since 2013
- English, Filipino
I've worked in shoemaking since 2013. I learned from my father and passed what I could on to 780 apprentices.
The best compliment I ever got was a customer who called me back 13 years later for another job.

What gifts mean to Gerald: I'd put gifts toward a new set of tools for the next apprentice.
