I've served Los Angeles Parish in Los Angeles from 1985 to 2003. My days are mostly visiting, listening and helping people carry things, sometimes literally.
People come with every kind of question. I try to listen first. I'm always reading two books at once.
Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.
