Gbenga Olumide Odukoya
Master of thatching, now teaching apprentices
- 🇳🇬 Badagry, Lagos, Nigeria
- Old Westbrook Works
- 1986 to 2011
- English, Hausa
I'm a thatching specialist. If you live around Badagry, there's a good chance I've worked in a building near you.
Apprentices come in nervous and leave proud. That's my favorite part. I take the work seriously, though not myself.
More about Gbenga
Some of my old apprentices now run their own shops. I couldn't be prouder.
What gifts mean to Gbenga: Any gift will help me keep the workshop open for evening lessons.
