I've been a nurse for 40 years, most of them in elder care at Addis Ababa Health Center in Addis Ababa. Night shifts taught me patience, and patients taught me everything else.
I'm usually the first one in and the last to leave. Small things matter when someone is frightened.
Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.
