Gareth P. Coetzee
32 years teaching economics in Stellenbosch
- 🇿🇦 Stellenbosch, Western Cape, South Africa
- Central Academy
- Since 1992
- English, Afrikaans
I teach economics at Central Academy in Stellenbosch since 1992. Most days I teach first-year students, and I keep a jar of spare pencils on my desk.
I've coached the school's athletics team for a few seasons. We lost more than we won, and I'd do it all again.
I'm proud of everyone I got to work with.
More about Gareth
If you were in my first-year students class, you probably remember the volcano experiment that got a bit out of hand.

You taught me economics in 2025 at Central Academy. I still remember the morning the power went out and we had class in the yard.
