Garba Victor Yakubu
Guitar player and teacher in Asaba
- 🇳🇬 Asaba, Delta, Nigeria
- Asaba Music School
- 2012 to 2022
- English, Igbo
I'm a musician from Asaba. I've toured a little, taught a lot and played at more weddings than I can count.
I teach about 13 students a week. Some of them are better than me now, which is the whole point. I paint watercolors of whatever is outside the window.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
More about Garba
I wrote my first song when I was 20. It was terrible and I still love it.
What gifts mean to Garba: I'd put a gift toward recording a small album.
