I've been a nurse for eight years, most of them in cardiology at Meadowbank Clinic in Newcastle upon Tyne. Night shifts taught me patience, and patients taught me everything else.
The thing I'm proudest of is that families usually remember my name. I bake for the whole street at New Year.
