I've been a nurse for 40 years, most of them in intensive care at Windsor Maternity Hospital in Tlaquepaque. Night shifts taught me patience, and patients taught me everything else.
The thing I'm proudest of is that families usually remember my name. I paint watercolors of whatever is outside the window.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
