Gabriela N. Ortiz
Calligraphy artist in Brooklyn
- 🇺🇸 Brooklyn, New York, United States
- Brooklyn Art Collective
- 1995 to 2019
- English, Spanish
I work mostly in calligraphy, sometimes sculpture. My first show was in 1995 at Brooklyn Art Collective, and nobody came except my family and one confused dog.
Most of my work is inspired by faces I pass in the street. I walk the dog by the river.
More about Gabriela
If you've bought a piece of mine, thank you. It's on someone's wall and that still amazes me.
Mediums
What gifts mean to Gabriela: I'd put a gift toward a kiln repair. It's been a long time coming.
