I've been a nurse for 40 years, most of them in mental health at Kilimanjaro University Hospital in Bogotá. Night shifts taught me patience, and patients taught me everything else.
The thing I'm proudest of is that families usually remember my name. I sing in a choir.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
