Gabriel R. Torres
Traditional drumming and sitar teacher
- 🇲🇽 Iztapalapa, Ciudad de México, Mexico
- Iztapalapa St. Joseph's Band
- Since 2003
- English, Spanish
I play traditional drumming and sitar. I started in 2003 with a secondhand instrument and a lot of stubbornness.
I teach about 15 students a week. Some of them are better than me now, which is the whole point. I paint watercolors of whatever is outside the window.
More about Gabriel
I write my first song when I was 18. It was terrible and I still love it.

What gifts mean to Gabriel: A gift would go toward new strings, repairs and music for my students.
