For 31 years I've run the boxing program at Westbrook Community Club in Chicago. We trained 2 evenings a week, whatever the weather.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I write a short note to every student at the end of term.
If we met, say hello. I'd love to know how life turned out.
More about Gabriel
Some of my former players now coach their own teams, which is the best thank-you I could ask for.
What gifts mean to Gabriel: I'll put any gifts toward a small fund so no child misses a match because of money.
