Ga-eun Kyung-mi Choi
Master of leatherwork, now teaching apprentices
- 🇰🇷 Gangnam, Seoul, South Korea
- Windsor Trades Guild
- 1996 to 2018
- Korean
I've worked in leatherwork from 1996 to 2018. I learned from my grandmother and passed what I could on to 680 apprentices.
Apprentices come in nervous and leave proud. That's my favorite part. I carry a notebook everywhere.
More about Ga-eun
Some of my old apprentices now run their own shops. I couldn't be prouder.
Crafts and trades
What gifts mean to Ga-eun: A gift would go toward tools for apprentices who can't afford their own.
