Funmilayo Okonkwo
Children's librarian in Lagos
- 🇳🇬 Lagos, Lagos, Nigeria
- Bamboo Branch Library
- 1997 to 2008
- English, Hausa
For eleven years I looked after the shelves, the card catalog and the regulars at Bamboo Branch Library.
I kept a jar of spare pencils on my desk. A library should feel like a living room.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
What gifts mean to Funmilayo: Any gift will help me buy picture books for local families.
