I'm a illustration artist based in Kano. I've been making things since 1980 and I still get excited when a new batch of materials arrives.
Most of my work is inspired by folk tales I grew up with. I fix old bicycles.
Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.
More about Funmilayo
I've had 8 small exhibitions over the years. My favorite was the one with the worst lighting.
What gifts mean to Funmilayo: I'd put a gift toward a kiln repair. It's been a long time coming.
