Funmilayo Ife Tijani
Basketball coach, Nnewi Hope Athletic Club
- 🇳🇬 Nnewi, Anambra, Nigeria
- 2008 to 2018
- English
I coached basketball at Nnewi Hope Athletic Club from 2008 to 2018. Most of my players were between 11 and 14, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Practice always ended with the same rule: nobody walks home alone. I'm always reading two books at once.
More about Funmilayo
Some of my former players now coach their own teams, which is the best thank-you I could ask for.

What gifts mean to Funmilayo: I'll put any gifts toward a small fund so no child misses a match because of money.
