I've coached cycling at Lagos Athletic Club since 2013. Most of my players were between 10 and 16, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I stay late on Thursdays for anyone who needs it.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
More about Funmilayo
Some of my former players now coach their own teams, which is the best thank-you I could ask for.
