I taught environmental science at Northside Girls' School in Johannesburg from 1983 to 1992. Most days I taught Year 7, and I never turned anyone away.
Over the years I had 210 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.

Some of my favorite memories are from the school trip to the science museum, where nothing went to plan and everything turned out fine.
