I've coached volleyball at Quezon City Youth Club since 1988. Most of my players were between 9 and 16, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I write a short note to every student at the end of term.
Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.
