Folake Uche Adebayo

Youth swimming coach and mentor

  • 🇳🇬 Wudil, Kano, Nigeria
  • Wudil Valley View Sports Club
  • Since 1987
  • English
I've coached swimming at Wudil Valley View Sports Club since 1987. Most of my players were between 8 and 18, and a lot of them turned into friends for life. Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I never raise my voice.

More about Folake

Some of my former players now coach their own teams, which is the best thank-you I could ask for.

What gifts mean to Folake: I'll put any gifts toward a small fund so no child misses a match because of money.
